Cappucino and Biscotti, anyone?

Chocolate Biscotti

These are delicious!  The perfect light sweet treat for when you just want to put your feet up with a warm drink and relax!

Chocolate Biscotti

1 Stick of Butter

1 C Sugar

2 eggs

1 egg yolk

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp almond extract

2 C flour

2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp salt

chopped nuts

chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 375.  Cream sugar and butter.  Add eggs one at a time, saving yoke for last.  Add flavorings.  Mix in dry ingredients. Fold in nuts and chips.  Divide dough into 2-9 inch logs, about 1.5 inches thick.  Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 20-25 minutes.  Let cool enough to handle.  Slice into 1 inch thick slices and return to cookie sheet.  Place on their sides.  Bake for 5-10 minutes per side or until dry. Let cool and store.
